Stata icon fix for Linux still not fixed

Back in early 2014, I identified a problem with Stata on Linux: if you called up the graphical interface (xstata), no icons appeared.

A discussion on Statalist ensued, and I posted a fix on Bitbucket.

4.5 years on, this is still an issue.

The Statalist post still gets regular comments, people are still adapting the fix to new problems, and Stata still has not fixed the fundamental problem in Stata 15.
